Buy and sell trusted household items in Lagos

How it works

Safer than a random chat deal: listings are reviewed, you pay Sell It Off (not the seller), and you inspect before confirming.

Sellers

List your item

Add clear photos, details, and price. Listings stay private until our team has checked them.

Get reviewed

We review quality and authenticity—typically within 24 hours—before buyers can see your listing.

Meet the buyer

Agree a nearby pickup time. The buyer inspects with you before anything is final.

Get paid by us

After the buyer confirms pickup, Sell It Off releases your payment—you’re not chasing cash from strangers.

Buyers

Browse nearby

Find fairly used household items close to you—only reviewed listings appear in the market.

Pay Sell It Off

You pay the platform, not the seller. We hold the money until you confirm the item is good.

Inspect before you confirm

See and test the item at pickup. Don’t confirm until you’re satisfied.

Confirm to release payment

Once you confirm pickup, we pay the seller. Confirm only after you’ve checked the item.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every sale follows the same path:

The buyer pays Sell It Off online — not cash to the seller.
The buyer gets seller contact details and picks a meetup time in the app within 48 hours.
At meetup, the buyer inspects the item and confirms the sale if they decide to pick it.
After that, we pay the seller immediately.

So a buyer doesn't pay for something they haven't seen yet, and a seller doesn't hand over their item without a completed sale. We are committed to protecting both buyers and sellers.

You pay Sell It Off online at checkout (card or bank options shown there). We hold that money until the meetup is finished — the seller enters your pickup code in the app. Then we pay the seller the sale price minus 10%. Never pay the seller directly in cash or transfer.

At meetup, if it doesn’t match the listing or has an undisclosed major problem, don’t finish the sale — don’t let the seller enter your pickup code. Contact support right away for a full refund (Help in the app, Contact Us, WhatsApp, or email). After the sale is finished in the app, we can’t refund for issues you could have spotted at meetup.
